RECENT TRENDS IN FITNESS NUTRITION !!

Fitness and nutrition are inter-related. Good nutrition helps to enhance and strive fitness goals. Proper nutrition not only helps in growth and development, but primarily aids in recovery and muscle soreness. Consuming adequate amounts of macro and micronutrients is imperative for optimal exercise performance. Thereby, an active lifestyle including a proper workout routine along with eating a balanced diet is the best way to stay fit and healthy. Every year, there is a massive bloom and rising trends in the fitness and nutrition industry. Highlighting it, below are few recent trends bloomed in the fitness and nutrition industry in 2024

Rise in veganism : The attention towards vegetarian has been increasing drastically. There are surplus reasons why people switch to veganism. Listing a few of them includes; animal welfare, environment-friendly, health aspects and social media influence. According to Sainsbury’s future of Food report, by 2025 a quarter of the population will be vegetarian or vegan. Surprisingly, India is believed to have the most vegetarians globally with up to 42% of the population avoiding meat products.

Adherence for Intermittent fasting : Intermittent fasting has gained a huge popularity in this current era. Its basically a time-based eating pattern in which there is a cycle between periods of eating and fasting. This diet has been scientifically claimed to enhance Insulin sensitivity, cellular repair, hormone balance, weight loss and lowering bad cholesterol levels. There are different types of IF that’s been followed currently. A few of it includes 16/8 IF, 5/2 IF, OMAD, Warrior diet and Alternate day fasting.

Protein supplements : Unsurprisingly, it’s been over a period since the protein supplements had gained its popularity. Despite considering the age and gender, protein is highly associated with weight control and muscle strength. Plant-based protein products derived from ingredients such as soy, pea, and rice have gained substantial popularity, increasing their demand. To add, companies are focusing more on developing innovative plant-based supplements to meet this growing demand.
